Don't try this at home

Well.. upon a rather extensive examination of the California's A.B.C (Alcoholic Beverage Control) website, I've reached a very simple conclusion... You can't open a brewery in California. Well... I should clarify.. you can IF you have a LOT OF MONEY. They want you to have your facility up and complete and sitting idle in a warehouse, or "shop" that you are paying rent on before they will even talk to you, and you even need a bank statement, or letter of intent from an investor proving you have enough quid to start a brewery as part of their application forms!!

An introduction

Brain Lubricant. We all love it, and it happens to be the name of one of my beers soon to be available on the shelves. I'm starting a brewery. Here after, will be a detailed chronicle of the entire process of going from home brewer, to owning a commercial brewery. My hope is to demystify the whole process so that more home brewers take the initiative, and give it a go themselves. That means more good beer for all of us! Where does one start? Well, I’m starting with beer. Trying to make good, consistent batches of beer.
