Review 106- Samuel Smith's Organically Produced Ale (ENGLAND)

SAMUEL SMITH'S ORGANICALLY PRODUCED ALE

Had this with a friend who happens to be named Sam Smith on a hot San Francisco Indian-summer day....

Appearance>Clear, lively. Lovely golden honey color, big head dissipates quickly. No lacing.

BASS PALE ALE

Serving type: bottle

Appearance> Dark golden, small to no head, no lacing. Not overly lively, but not lackluster either.

Review 57- Gem by Bath Ales Ltd (England)

GEM

Had this at The Wheatsheaf in E. Hendred, Oxfordshire, England. Amazing staff and fantastic sandwiches.

Serving type: cask

Appearance> looks a bit like maple syrup with a small white head (with large bubbles). Very lively. Good lacing.

Airport Drinking or How I Stopped Worrying

Currently in the middle of a backpack trip to Europe, I am writing this ithe downstairs bar of an 800-bed hostel in London, witnessing the evening’s crowd of international youth dwindle down, and drinking what should surely be my last cider of the night, cider not being my first choice of drink, but as they say, ‘when in Rome’, or in this case, England.
