Photo Blog - The First Ever Secret Meeting of the Order of Osiris

Happy Labor Day - a day that encourages black-out drinking by constantly reminding us all that the summer is (un)officially over (September 21st, bitches!). Rather than bore you with words (and also because it's 9:15am and I've already started drinking), I figured I'd share some photos from this past Friday's super-secret inaugural Order of Osiris meeting at the Brooklyn Brewery. This will most likely also be the first time I'm seeing these photos, as I blacked-out shortly after 10pm after nearly draining the entire cask of Cookie Jar Porter. Enjoy!

Run For Your Beer

Tomorrow (or most likely today, as I'm posting this late on Saturday night), I will be one of the 45,000 runners lining up (sober) at the world's most famous starting line - the foot of the Verrazano Narrows Bridge in Staten Island, about to run 26.2 miles through Brooklyn, Queens, Manhattan, the Bronx, and back to Manhattan for the NYC Marathon. This will be my 2nd NYC Marathon, and my 7th overall.

On Second Thought, Maybe You Should Stick With the Bud Light...

When I was first approached by Jonathan about becoming a beer blogger for Brewdies, I was psyched. "Man, what a great way to spread the joy of craft beer to the masses," I thought. I imagined masterfully written missives spewing from my fingertips detailing the intricacies that Cascade hops lend to American IPAS that would make a Jonathan Franzen novel look like a fucking Sesame Street pop-up book.
